Easy! You can get your business featured on Brighton.co.uk by either claiming an existing listing or adding a new spotlight. The first step is to use the search bar for your business to see if you have an existing unclaimed spotlight.
To create a new Spotlight, create an account using the join form at the top of this page and tell us a little about your business. We’ll be in touch to welcome new local businesses and guide you through the next steps via your account dashboard.
What types of businesses can be listed?
If you’re based in Brighton & Hove, we’d love to hear from you. Cafés, restaurants, shops, salons, trades, creatives, attractions, venues and professional services are all welcome on Brighton.co.uk, provided they genuinely serve the local community.
What's included in a Brighton Business Spotlight?
Every Spotlight includes a dedicated page that showcases your business and core information such as contact details, opening hours, location, and photos.
For more advanced spotlight features, including social media and website links, a more advanced business description and more premium features for your dedicated business category, you’ll benefit from our paid plans (Grow & Elevate).
Do I need a website or social media to be listed?
Not at all. If you’ve got a website or social media, we’ll include it within Elevate plans. If you haven’t, that’s absolutely fine.
A great local business doesn’t need thousands of followers to deserve the spotlight and attract new customers.
How much does a Brighton Spotlight cost?
We offer a free spotlight to ensure whatever stage your business is whether you’re a startup or local but don’t have marketing budget to spare right now, ‘Discover’ is our entry level offering.

Our Discover spotlight option is free for any local business or service.
If you’re interested in one of our Grow or Elevate Spotlights or any additional promotional opportunities, you can get in touch via press@brighton.co.uk to maximise exposure for your business locally.
How long does it take for my listing to go live?
If you choose one of the paid plans (Grow or Elevate) your spotlight listing will appear immediately.
If you’re claiming a free (Discover) spotlight, we will need to verify that you’re authorised to represent and claim on behalf of the business.
We’ll keep you updated throughout the process via email and let you know as soon as your Brighton Spotlight is live.
Will my business appear on Google?
Your business Spotlight profile will be indexed by search engines, helping more people discover your business online. While we can’t guarantee rankings, we’ll always follow SEO best practices when creating your profile.
For additional awareness and exposure online, we’d recommend our advertising options for an added boost.
Do business listings help with SEO?
