Brighton.co.uk first landed in 1995, when the internet crackled with dial-up tones and websites were little more than text on a screen. Even then, the idea was simple: to create a trusted guide that celebrated the best of Brighton & Hove.
A fresh chapter
From the start, Brighton.co.uk was a platform to discover where to eat, drink and explore, while always championing Brighton’s independent spirit & local events.
In 2025, Brighton.co.uk found a new home with a team whose roots are firmly in the city. We knew just how important this website was and how much potential it still has to connect locals, visitors & businesses with everything Brighton has to offer.
Today, Brighton.co.uk has been given a new lease of life with the same mission. We’re still here to champion local voices, shout about the best venues & make sure no one misses out on the unforgettable, unpredictable and unmistakably Brighton events and things to do.

Meet the people
The small but mighty team behind Brighton.co.uk
Max
Max is as Brightonian as they come. Born in Brighton, she previously promoted some of the city’s biggest club nights. Nowadays, 6 years sober, she’s a big advocate for Brighton’s sober scene & proof that a great night out doesn’t need to come with a hangover.
As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Max is passionate about giving queer talent, business owners & events the spotlight they deserve. With a background in marketing and a knack for knowing what people are actually searching for, she brings creativity & plenty of firsthand Brighton knowledge.
When she’s not hunting down new business openings or heading to quintessentially Brighton events, she’s probably fussing over her 3 tiny (but mighty) Chihuahuas.
Aaron
Away from the screen, Aaron really, really loves football (he’s currently doing the 92 – very slowly) and ridiculously long walks that involve lots (and lots) of pub stops. Also mad keen on trips to the USA, tattoos… and Scrabble (Words With Friends).
Louisa
Louisa keeps everything running smoothly on the operations
and comms side. She’s the friendly voice at the end of
enquiries and helps make sure Brighton.co.uk’s voice carries
far and wide.
Passionate about sustainability, Louisa has been involved in |
many environmental initiatives and brings that same energy
into shaping Brighton.co.uk as a platform that celebrates a
city looking after its future and the planet.

Jordan Foley
Music & Venues
A champion of live music culture in Brighton, Jordan’s often found in grassroots venues discovering artists or soaking up the atmosphere in the city’s biggest gig spaces.
Jordan hosts New Sounds on Hoxton Radio every week, sharing the latest grassroots musical breakthroughs or talking to the most exciting artists that should be at the top of your playlists.
After having played in multiple bands and performed at various venues around Brighton, Jordan knows a thing or two about the scene and knows all the best places to spend your evenings.
Megan Thomas
Food & Drink
Despite her Brightonian status being relatively recent, Meg has spent her years in this vibrant city immersing herself in the food, drink and cultural scene through her Instagram, @PicanteMeg.
Meg is the Editor of a B2B journal as her day job, and when not found on the Brighton & Hove restaurant scene, she’s probably reading and reviewing books across various platforms, including nb. Magazine and Buzz Magazine.
Community, values & ethos
Brighton.co.uk belongs to the city. That means we care about supporting the organisations, projects and people who make Brighton & Hove what it is. We’ll always prioritise independents, highlight diverse voices, and keep inclusivity at the heart of everything we do.
